The world exhibition center for stone marble is Italian

The Verona Fair in collaboration with SACE and SIMEST has created the first world exhibition center in the stone marble sector through the acquisition of a controlling stake in Milanez&Milaneze

La Verona Fair, the insurance-financial group SACE and the internationalization promotion agency SIMEST, gave birth to first trade fair aggregation in the world for companies operating in the sector natural stone. Besides marmomacc in Italy, in fact, thanks to the agreement between the three bodies, Veronafiere do Brasil will be present in the control booth of the two reference Brazilian events for the stone sector in South America (Vitóriane Fai Stor and Cachoeiro Stone Fair).
The objective of the initiative is linked to the heavy infrastructure investments that will be made in view of the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games.

The agreement consists in the acquisition by Fiera di Verona of 60 % (with an option up to the entire share capital) of Milanez&Milaneze, a Brazilian company that manages the two major local marble and granite trade fairs: Victoria Stone Fair e Cachoeiro Stone Fair, and also by acquiring the controlling stake in Milanez&Milaneze, Veronafiere assumes an important role also in the context of mec show, a fair now in its fifth edition and focused on engineering, automation and energy.

Il President of Veronafiere, Hector Riello he underlined how “With this initiative, the Verona Fair continues to encourage the development of an industrial policy of the country system in which the fairs can be used as a promotional tool abroad for companies and the excellence of Made in Italy. The partnership with SACE and SIMEST is a concrete and positive example of what it really means to work at the service of companies".
The Chief Executive Officer of SIMEST, Maximum Help explained how "SIMEST's participation in this internationalization project responds to the need to encourage the development of an industrial policy of the "Country System", in which the Fairs represent a vehicle for the promotion abroad of the "excellence" of Made in Italy, and Brazil is an important destination for Italian companies.
Finally Simonetta Acri, Director of the Italy Network of SACE illustrated some of the forecasts of the SACE Export Report (which will be presented at Veronafiere on 8 April), according to which Brazil will be one of the top markets for Italy over the next four years with a average growth of 11,3% per year in exports.
