Digital Magics – Backtowork24: agreement for startups

A partnership is underway for the joint development of innovative digital startups and Open Innovation programs for Italian companies.

The Digital Magics business incubator and BacktoWork24, a company of the 24 Ore Group, have signed a partnership agreement for the joint development of innovative digital startups and Open Innovation programs for Italian companies.

BacktoWork24 will organize 4 meetings dedicated to Digital Magics start-ups: the first took place on May 10 in Milan at the Via Monte Rosa headquarters. During the Club Deal - the matching event that brings together private investors, managers, executives and professionals - Digital Magics presented its startups in the funding phase to the important BacktoWork24 network.

Digital Magics and BacktoWork24 will also work together to structure Open Innovation programs for Italian companies with the aim of creating open innovation, improving industrial processes, products and services, thanks to the innovations brought by startups and reciprocal partner networks.

BacktoWork24's manager-investors will also be able to support young talents and new entrepreneurs by making their professional skills available and working closely with them and with the highly experienced Digital Magics team.

This operation strengthens the largest innovation platform for the development of digital made in Italy, launched by Digital Magics, Tamburi Investment Partners and Talent Garden to support Italian digital startups, which represent an extraordinary opportunity for Italy and for investors who believe in digital innovation.

“So far over 43 million euros have been raised for our startups – says Marco Gay, executive vice president of Digital Magics – of which half invested by third parties, and we have developed more than 10 Open Innovation programs for Italian companies. The collaboration with BacktoWork24 and its network of manager-investors is an important support for the creation of an innovation system in the country, capable of supporting our extraordinary talents at a financial and industrial level".

Alberto Bassi, CEO of BacktoWork24, underlines instead that "after closing 2016 with over 45 investment operations in small businesses and startups, many of which digital, we are convinced that this partnership can offer our manager-investors further opportunities for great interest and prominence. We also believe that pooling the respective networks is the right way to generate a single, large reference center capable of responding to the needs of new entrepreneurial realities".
