Italy, over 30 companies change hands every year: SMEs are at the heart of the M&A market.

Over the past five years, approximately 152 companies have changed hands in Italy, mostly microenterprises. With 15 million Italians owning shares worth over €1.600 trillion, research by Verum Partners and Startex AI reveals a surprisingly dynamic market.

Over the last five years in Italy about 152 thousand companies have changed ownership, confirming a surprisingly lively market. Italy's SMEs and their impact on the economy
