GKSD Green Solutions Srl, a GKSD Group company, and ACEA Ambiente SpA. they have a Memorandum of Understanding was signed which starts a collaboration process aimed at evaluating development opportunities in the sector integrated waste management and circular economy of Republic of Albania.
The agreement is part of the two companies' international growth objectives and stems from the desire to leverage complementary skills to contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable environmental infrastructures aimed at reducing carbon footprints.

The Memorandum provides for a preliminary phase Analysis of the legislative and regulatory framework and potential funding sources, as well as the evaluation of the preparation of environmental policy studies to support the evolution of the country's municipal waste management system. The Parties may also evaluate, through subsequent implementing agreements, the construction and operation of waste treatment and recycling facilities in line with the best available technologies, in compliance with applicable legislation and required authorization procedures.
The initiative is in line with the ACEA Group Industrial Plan 2024-2028 which identifies international expansion as a key driver of growth. GKSD Green Solutions promotes projects with high environmental and technological value in the fields of sustainability and the circular economy.
The collaboration will be based on the principles of innovation, sustainability, transparency e evaluation best skills industrial partners, with the aim of supporting the modernization of the Republic of Albania's waste management system and fostering the transition to increasingly sustainable development models. The Memorandum provides the framework for the potential development of future implementing agreements that will govern individual project initiatives.
