Founded in 2000 by Rocco Pavese and headquartered in Fisciano (Salerno, Italy), Genetic is a pharmaceutical CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization): it provides drug development and manufacturing services on behalf of other companies, with a distinctive positioning in complex generic molecules and a portfolio of excellence in the respiratory and ophthalmic therapeutic sectors. The company integrates proprietary dossier development capabilities with advanced manufacturing processes, including the cutting-edge Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) technology, which allows the sterile production of preservative-free single-dose solutions and suspensions, as well as inhalers (pMDI and DPI), nasal sprays and single-dose and multi-dose eye drops (also preservative-free). Genetic focuses on products that are difficult to develop and manufacture, both in oral solid and liquid formulations.
Genetic operates globally, serving a diversified B2B customer base – including large international pharmaceutical companies – and exports over 40% of its production to more than 40 countries. The company reaches nearly 5 million patients worldwide every year, generating significant social value by improving access to more affordable and easy-to-use therapies – mainly aimed at vulnerable subjects such as children and the elderly – thus contributing to broader and more accessible healthcare. The Genetic group is also active in the direct sale of drugs to pharmacies and wholesalers through its subsidiary Genetic Pharma, and in the development and production of supplements and medical devices through its subsidiary Genelife.
