Pensions, Brambilla discharges the Government: "Quota 100 does not hold up"

Alberto Brambilla, pension expert in Lega share, abandons the role of economic consultant to the Government. He announced it in an interview with La Verità, explaining that he disagreed with the system of the decree on quota 100 that the Government intends to launch within this week.

“About 300 applications will arrive to access the 100 quota – he said – Anyone who knows the machine knows that it is impossible to please everyone right away. There will be such a traffic jam that choices will have to be made. We have a large amount of caged at 106-107-108. People with 66 years of age and 42 contributions. In the first quarter, precedence belongs to them. In the second half of the year we can deal with pensioners up to 103, and next year we'll move on to the others. The 100 quota cannot have a privileged treatment compared to more unfortunate situations”.

And again: “In 2008 the central State transferred 6o billion for social assistance through INPS. Today we are at 115 billion. To this figure we must add, on the basis of the indications of the State Accounting Office, the welfare expenditure of local authorities and 0,8% of GDP for housing support. In the end, the total expenditure for social assistance is close to 13 billion, while the expenditure for authentic pensions, ie those supported by contributions, is 160. Thus the system does not hold up”.
