Gallerie d'Italia Turin by Intesa Sanpaolo: the first retrospective in Europe dedicated to the photographer Cristina Mittermeier

The exhibition presents approx 90 fotografie and offers an overview of what is important lresearch work by Cristina Mittermeier, photographer, marine biologist and activist who, over the years, has documented the beauty of our planet and all its naturalistic aspects. The exhibition itinerary, you see three great themesi: the underwater world, the terrestrial world and that of tribal peoples. Through his photographs he bears witness to traditions, rituals and knowledge handed down from generation to generation and invites us to reflect on the "great wisdom" underlying the world.

Cristina Mittermeier's photographs translate how important it is to wisely use the limited resources of our planet as it is fundamental for the future of humanity, in particular the health of the oceans has a direct impact on our climate, the air we breathe and our food that we consume.

Who is Cristina Mittermeier

Cristina Mittermeier is co-founder and president of the SeaLegacy association, born in 2014 from the union between internationally renowned photographers, directors and writers who have been engaged for almost two decades in raising awareness for the defense of the oceans, on whose protection life on Earth depends.
