The Hera Group wins the Top Utility 2022 gold medal tenth edition, is assigned by the analysis carried out on the main companies in the water, energy and environment sectors by the research team Althesys, a consulting firm specializing in the public utility sector. In the shortlist of the best there were also A2a, Iren, Lario Reti and Veritas. The award ceremony was held on the occasion of the online event "Digitalisation and sustainability for the future of Italian utilities".
The Italian multiutility won the prize Absolute Top Utility “for the excellent results obtained in all the areas analysed, with particular reference to the relationship with stakeholders, attention to transparency and communication. Hera has also confirmed its position at the forefront in the digitization of company processes and in the sustainability of operations".
But it is not the first time that the Hera Group has received this recognition, which comes on the twentieth anniversary of its history, which began in 2002 with the merger of 11 municipal companies in the Emilia-Romagna area. This award adds to those obtained in 2012, 2014 and 2019 when it received the award in the communication and transparency category, in 2015 and 2018 in the sustainability category and in 2021 in that for gender equality and protection of diversity and inclusion.
