FCA, Reid Bigland new CEO of Alfa Romeo and Maserati

Reid Bigland is the new CEO of brands Alfa Romeo e Maserati, parts of the group fca. Bigland, who will continue to hold the positions of head of US Sales at FCA and CEO of FCA Canada, replaces Harald Wester who, according to the note released by the company, "will thus be able to devote full attention to the role of Chief Technology Officer of FCA".

The CEO of FCA Sergio Marchionne paid tribute to Wester: “I am grateful to Harald for the work he has done over the last few years in creating a solid technical framework for our two premium brands, culminating in the recent launches of the Maserati Levante and Alfa Romeo Giulia. The time has now come to direct our efforts towards the global commercial expansion of these two brands and I am convinced that Reid is the best person to carry out this mission.

According to the CEO of the automotive group, "over the past seven years, Reid Bigland has managed to achieve extraordinary results in terms of sales growth and market share in the United States and Canada, while managing the growth and positioning of the Ram and Dodge brands.” Both Bigland and Wester will continue to serve on the Group Executive Council, FCA's highest decision-making body.
