Thus the president of the ECB Mario Draghi at the end of the Eurogroup adding that in Greece, "the first benefits of the economic program" are beginning to be seen. Today "what has been done so far with the economic adjustment programs must not be undone".
Draghi also indicated at the beginning of the Eurogroup press conference in Athens that he will not answer questions on monetary policy in view of the board scheduled for Thursday. Always on the sidelines of the Eurogroup the commissioner for monetary affairs, Olli Rehn, explained that he has "confidence that Italy will respect its commitments", and that therefore "it will carry out reforms to favor employment while at the same time respecting the European budgetary constraints".
