Stock exchange, two-speed banks: Mps is good but not Unicredit

Piazza Affari starts well, showing that it appreciates the results of the stress tests and the new MPS plan, but then it deflates - In mid-morning, the shares of the Sienese bank, after coming close to 9%, gain 6% - The Popular and Intesa, while Unicredit is in strong red

The stress test effect is good for Piazza Affari, which starts the week gaining 1,6% at the opening, supported by bank stocks, many of which have struggled to make up the price. Over the next few minutes, however, the ride lost momentum and by mid-morning the Ftse Eb reduced earnings to 0,5%.

In the spotlight there are in particular Ps and Unicredit. Despite the rejection of the EBA exams, the market shows that it appreciates the recovery plan launched over the weekend by the Sienese bank, which this morning gained 9% on the stock exchange, only to then retrace to +6% after a volatility auction . However, Montepaschi stock remains the most bought on the Milanese stock exchange.

The session of Unicredit, which, after a positive start, abruptly reversed course, losing 5% (also in this case through a suspension, but with an opposite sign compared to that of Mps).

On the other hand, the response obtained from the other institutes in the first session after the stress tests was positive. Purchases are concentrated in particular on the popular (Pop Bank +4%, second best title on the list, bpm + 1,9% Ubi +0,9%) and up Understanding, which with its +1% is better than the Ftse Mib. Well too Mediobanca (+ 1,7%).
