Intesa Sanpaolo achieves new international recognition in the investment banking sector. Imi Corporate & Investment Banking Division, led by Mauro Micillo, was named Best Investment Bank in Italy on the occasion of the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, awarded in recent days in London.

The award consolidates the bank's position in the Italian market and enhances a model based on a combination of specialized expertise, innovation capabilities, international market presence, and business support. This positioning is built through the provision of financial services to businesses, institutional clients, and the public sector, assisting them in their investment, transformation, and growth journeys.

The 2026 award is part of a process that has seen IMI CIB receive numerous international financial recognitions in recent years. In 2024, Euromoney named the Division "Italy's Best Investment Bank" and "Italy's Best Bank for Corporates," highlighting both its role in investment banking and the support it provides to companies.

In March 2026, Global Finance also confirmed IMI CIB's position as the "Best Investment Bank in Italy" for the sixth consecutive year. This consistency demonstrates the strength of the Division's model and its ability to support Italian companies in a period characterized by technological transformation, new financing needs, and growing international competition.

The Euromoney Awards for Excellence, established in 1992, is one of the leading international events for the banking and financial sector. Intesa Sanpaolo's success at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026 has several institutions also involved belonging to the International Banks Division, led by Paola Papanicolaou.

PBZ, Privredna banka Zagreb, won the "Croatia's Best Retail Bank" and "Croatia's Best Bank for ESG" awards. Banca Intesa Beograd was recognized as "Serbia's Best Bank," while AlexBank received the title of "Egypt's Best Retail Bank." Finally, CIB Bank was awarded the "Hungary's Best for Mortgages/Home Loans" award.

The awards received in various markets strengthen the international positioning of the Group led by CEO Carlo Messina and highlight the ability of each bank to meet the needs of families and businesses.
