From fuels to bills and now, back to fuel. The game on dear energy continues to hold sway. From Eni, in fact, a new announcement arrives: the extension of the reduction in the price of fuels marketed by enilive, in the world agricultural and fisheryCurrent Enilive customers will be able – from today – to purchase diesel and petrol for agricultural and fishing use at 20% discounted price excluding VATThe discount will be applied from today until October 31st and may be extended until the end of the year, based on market trends and product availability.
The decision is part of the initiative undertaken for Italy by the group led by Claudio Descalzi: follows the price cap on diesel and gasoline prices applied at participating Enilive stations since September 28th and the price-fixed discount on electricity and gas rates recently announced by Plenitude. Eni intends to make a new contribution of solidarity to the country and to two strategic sectors: agriculture and fishing.
The price of diesel and petrol on the motorway
In all this, Massimiliano Dona, president of theNational Consumers Union, he emphasizes: “Well, the progressive commitment of other oil companies as well in calming prices it is having its fruits and Today diesel on the motorway drops below 2,3 euros per litre, 2,293 and petrol below 2,1 euros, 2,085 euros per litre. Excellent news, but it shouldn't be an excuse for the Government to do nothing." And then: "In fact, it would have been much better to opt for an increase in taxation of energy and oil companies, so as to finance the reduction of bills for families and businesses, thus overcoming all European constraints. It must be remembered, in fact, that thanks to inflation, the high cost of fuel and the high cost of bills, the Government, thanks to VAT, has collected and is collecting billions of euros more, money that should be returned to those who paid it, that is, families," continues Dona. "This afternoon, yet another blow will fall on families with the increase in the price of gas for the vulnerable, against which the Government must lower VAT to 5% before the radiators are turned on, or we will give it the coup de grace”.
