Wine, Istituto Grandi Marchi: Made in Italy excellence on a world tour, after Canada it recovers from the USA

Italian stop for 18 companies of the Italian Quality Wine Institute – Great Brands. After success found with Canada Tour 2022, the Great Brands have given life to an exclusive Tasting in Rome, at the Grand Hotel Flora in Via Veneto.

On this occasion, the IGM autumn/winter program was presented, which promises to be full of promotional events on the most important international markets and social initiatives.

The key moment of the day was the recognition that the Istituto Grandi Marchi gave to the American journalist Monica Larner, a testament to the passion shown in communicating the excellence of Italian wine in the world. This year's award is in its third edition: the first two rounds featured wine writers of the caliber of Burton Anderson and Jens Priewe.

“Monica Larner, with her constant work on an important magazine like Wine Advocate – he declared Piero Mastroberardino, President of Great Brands Institute – contributes with sensitivity and competence to the promotion of fine wines and Italian territories to a vast and competent public. It is therefore a commitment that is congruent with the mission of our Institute, which was created precisely to disseminate the message of the best expression of Made in Italy winemaking on the most important international markets".

The new winning strategy of the Istituto Grandi Marchi: over one million contacts on social networks

During the afternoon dedicated to the prestigious wines of the Institute's 18 families, the numbers of the social media campaign were also presented Great Brands Institute. If last year, with "Il Gusto Nella Sfida", IGM had reached important peaks in digital media, this year the results have proved to be even more flattering thanks to the "Chatters in the Cellar" format, a series of interviews which saw protagonists exponents of the older generations and the younger ones among the families making up the Institute. To these have been added amusing episodes dedicated to their territories of belonging and to their excellences. A great opportunity for social users to get to know some of the most important names in the national wine universe better.

“For some time – he continues Mastroberardino – we carry out campaigns on social media that allow us to reach an increasingly vast audience populated by young wine, viticulture and wine tourism enthusiasts. Our primary aim is to stimulate third millennium wine lovers to live the experiences of contact with wine more deeply and to increase their awareness of this fascinating world. The fact that today the new campaign can already count over one million views is a source of satisfaction for all of us. In a few days we will resume our wanderings, with an agenda that will take us back overseas, for the important events in Manhattan”.

The Istituto Grandi Marchi will start again from the United States of America with an exclusive tasting at the Masseria Dei Vini restaurant in New York, on the day of Wednesday 19 October, on the eve of New York Wine Experiences, the great New York wine event by Wine Spectator. The tasting, which will be attended by all the families of the Institute, is organized in collaboration with Wine Spectator and is reserved for a selection of sommeliers, restaurateurs and wine merchants from the Big Apple.

The following companies belong to the Istituto Grandi Marchi: Alois Lageder, Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari Tenute, Argiolas, Ca' del Bosco, Carpenè Malvolti, Col D'Orcia, Donnafugata, Jermann, Lungarotti, Marchesi Antinori, Masi, Michele Chiarlo, Mastroberardino, Pio Cesare, Rivera, Tasca D'Almerita, Tenuta San Guido, Umani Ronchi.
