Wine: the Chianti Consortium presents itself in Russia live streaming with seven labels

“Russia is becoming an increasingly important market for Italian wine and for Chianti in particular as demonstrated by the good performances recorded in the first months of 2021 in which Italian wine recorded a +17,3% in exports compared to 2020” . With these words Marco Alessandro Bani, director of the Chianti Vino Consortium introduced the program of two institutional seminars dedicated to the denomination that will be held in Russia on the occasion of the 'Simply Italian Great Wines' Russia Tour 2021. The Consortium will be present on 28 and 30 June, respectively, in Moscow and St. Petersburg with an event entitled 'The modernity of Sangiovese in seven expressions of Chianti docg'.

The companies will not be able to be physically present in Russia due to the restrictions for the Covid-19, but both seminars foresee the intervention in live streaming from Italy by Luca Alves who will guide the tasting. During the event, presented on site by the Russian speakers of Veronika Denisova and Denis Roudenko, the tasting of seven Chianti docg wines will be proposed, representing the various types and sub-areas of the Denomination: three vintage Chianti, one superior Chianti, and three Chianti Reserve. The two seminars are aimed at professionals in the sector.

In addition to the two institutional seminars in Moscow and St. Petersburg, social media activities are also planned. "In the coming days - adds Bani - in addition to the realization of these two seminars, with one of our representatives on site, who will guide the press and economic operators, while we will be connected in streaming to intervene and support those present, the activity will also continue of online communication and on social media launched since the beginning of the year thanks to 10 influencers, to keep the attention high on the Chianti denomination while waiting for it to be back in presence again. In November - concludes the director of the Consortium - our Ocm 2020/2021 program includes a face-to-face event in Russia in which, if the evolution of the pandemic permits, member companies of the Chianti Wine Consortium will also be present. In the coming months too, therefore, we will keep our attention focused on this market which constitutes an important point of reference for the future of the Consortium and of the Denomination”.
