Charter of youth culture and Charter of merit: requirements
To obtain the Charter of youth culture worth 500 euros, it is necessary to apply by June 30th and satisfy the following requirements: be resident in Italy or have a valid residence permit, an ISEE equal to or less than 35 thousand euros and be born in 2005. The card can be used the year following the age of 18 and by 31 December of the year of the request.
Instead, to get the Card of merit, the requirements to be met are the following: the terms of residence or residence permit apply in the same way, but those who have obtained their high school diploma with a score of 100 no later than the year in which they turn nineteenth of age can benefit from it. or 100 cum laude. The request can always be made by June 30th.
How to apply?
To request cards, simply access the dedicated platform via digital identity, (Spid or electronic identity card). Once obtained, you will be able to use them to purchase goods or services listed in the program until the end of the current year, that is until December 31 2024. The government has set a maximum spending limit of 190 million euros. Currently, there are almost 169 thousand people registered for the "Youth culture card" and another 30 thousand for the merit card, who have used approximately 84,5 and 15 million euros respectively.
What can you buy with the culture bonus?

In any case, you can buy tickets for theatre, cinema and live shows, but also books, newspaper subscriptions (including in digital format) and music. Young people can also spend their cards for entry to museums, exhibitions, cultural events, archaeological sites and natural parks. The list also includes participation in various training courses, such as theatre, music, dance and foreign languages. However, video games and subscriptions to streaming services are not included. If necessary, however, the bonus can be converted into shopping vouchers.
