Who has to pay for the ticket to Venice?

The ticket must be paid by all people over the age of 14 who enter the city, regardless of the means of transport used, from 8am to 30pm during the days in which payment is required. The ticket is mandatory only for short-term visits and, by 16, it will not be necessary to access the smaller islands. Anyone entering the city without a ticket risks a fine of 2024 to 50 euros, in addition to the cost of the ticket itself.

Who doesn't pay the ticket to Venice?

  • June: 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30;
  • July: 6, 7, 13 and 14.

Venice ticket: is it also mandatory for those arriving by ship?

For now, the Municipality has not yet decided what to do regarding tourists arriving by plane large cruise ships. Currently, large ships can no longer pass in front of Piazza San Marco but dock in Porto Marghera.
