Scrapping quater 2023: the five-day tolerance starts. Scrapping quater, in particular, allows you to pay off the tax debt and comply by paying only the amount evaded, without fines, late payment interest or premiums, by 31 October 2023, but with the five-day grace period the final deadline is postponed to Monday 6 November (since the 5th is Sunday). Meanwhile, theRevenue-Collection Agency sent the response - which contains the outcome of the request, the list of scrapped debts and the amount due - to all those who had requested to be able to access the Scrapping quater of the debts by the deadline of 30 June. Approximately 3,8 million taxpayers submitted the request, which concerned the tax bills accumulated by the 1 January 2000 to 30 June 2022. The requests for facilitated settlement of taxpayers residing in the municipalities listed by the "Floods" decree (Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Marche), damaged by the bad weather last May, are missing. The three-month delay will also lead to the postponement of the communication from the Revenue Agency - Collection to 31 December 2023. Scrapping quater 2023: how to pay the outstanding bills?

Everyone can manage their payments by going directly to the reserved area of ​​the Tax Office website. Payment can be made in a single payment, or split up to one maximum of 18 installments. If there are more than 10 installments, the first 10 payment forms have also been attached to the letter. Subsequent ones will be sent later, but before deadline of the eleventh instalment. If you have chosen the maximum number of installments allowed (18), the first will be due by 31 October and the second by 30 November 2023, and each must be worth 10% of the total debt. For subsequent payments, there can be four payments per year: respectively by February 28, May 31, July 31 and September 30 of each year, from 2024 until (at most) 2027.

Alternatively there is the web service ContiYou, which allows you to pay only some of the bills and recalculate the amount due for the others, then receiving the new payment forms.

What happens in case of delay?

For longer delays on November 6th the right to benefit from the facilitated conditions of Scrapping quater will be lost. In this case, the Scrapping does not produce any effect and the limitation and forfeiture period for the payment of tax debts begins to run again.
