Renzi: Wednesday Jobs act, housing plan and two billion for school

“Next Wednesday we will present the housing plan (we can't make it on Friday because we are making some changes), the jobs act and some measures for the school. We have two billion euros ready for school construction”. This was announced by the premier, Matteo Renzi, speaking with the Sicilian mayors in Syracuse.

“Now the point is to decide how to spend the money in the most efficient way – continued the Prime Minister -. We are studying a solution to give a preferential lane and ensure that the money is invested in shorter times than required by current legislation".

Renzi then recalled that “in Italy there is more than a billion euros that we are not spending on hydrogeological instability. The theme of starting to spend the funds that are there, and that are not spent, is one of the topics we will discuss on Wednesday ".

Among the government's priorities is "the unblocking of the stability pact", continued the Premier, who then expressed his willingness to shorten the process for unblocking the works: "Only to make a tender, after the authorizations, a Municipality must follow all the procedures and it takes eight months not to make a school, but to make the competition. Do we realize? When we say we want to simplify procedures, giving a sort of preferential lane, we say it because we've been there".
