After withdrew the control room and aver open on the management of the secret services, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte tries to save himself from Matteo Renzi's Italia Viva offensive redesigning the Recovery Plan. But it is by no means certain that it is enough for him to stay in Palazzo Chigi, because Renzi has said that in order to decide whether to withdraw the threat to leave the government, he wants to see the facts and not just the papers and above all he does not accept the artichoke policy but will give an opinion final in the next few days on Conte's entire package of proposals, including the health month.
Meanwhile the new draft of the Recovery Plan di Conte, redefined on the basis of the preliminary work of the Minister of Economy Roberto Gualtieri, provides more money for health care, work and school than in its original version. For health care, compared to the pittance of the initial 9 billion, the new plan provides for 5 more, which, however, remain less than half of what Italy could have (36 billion) if it gave the green light to the health ESM and infinitely less than the plan of the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, who asked for 68 billion for health .
Appropriations also increase the work-welfare sector and those for school: each item of expenditure will get 5 billion more than foreseen in the previous draft of the plan. The extra 15 billion will be obtained with the sacrifice of cohesion funds, in planning stage, destined for the Next Generation Eu at noon.
It is said that all this is enough to avoid the political crisis: Renzi keeps on the table the weapon of the resignation of his ministers from the government, while Conte is looking for new Scilipoti (renamed "responsible") in Parliament if the final showdown were to come, from which a strengthening of the current government can emerge, a Conte ter or a new government with a new prime minister.
It remains to be seen whether in one way or another it will be possible to bring Italy out of the current stagnation with a government that thinks not only of surviving and floating but has a vision of the future, makes reforms and does not waste the opportunity unique and unrepeatable of the Recovery Plan.
