Amd, (Advanced Micro Devices), an American multinational semiconductor manufacturer, does not disappoint expectations and at Computex 2024, the Taipei technology fair launches the challenge to Nvidia. The company expects that the MI350 will offer improved performance in inference up to 35 times higher, revolutionizing the process of calculating generative AI responses.
“This annual cadence is something that is there because the market demands new products and capabilities… Every year we have the next big thing so that we always have the most competitive portfolio,” Su said.
Su anticipated that AMD plans to achieve chip sales for AI worth approximately $4 billion by 2024, up $500 million from the previous estimate.
