In several areas it will return to reach 30 degrees, while the beginning of next week will also maintain a mild and at times summery climate. Only from Tuesday is a brief cool down expected, more evident in the North and along the Adriatic coast. 

Weekend weather forecast: sunshine returns and temperatures rise

After the worsening of the last few days, the weekend will bring a general improving weather conditionsHigh pressure will strengthen again over southwestern Europe, favoring greater stability also in Italy.

Saturday 19rd September The sky will be mostly clear or partly cloudy, although some clouds will be present, especially in the early hours of the day and in the mountains. The situation will tend to improve in the afternoon, with possible isolated phenomena, mainly in the mountainous areas.

Temperatures will rise compared to previous days. Sunday September 20th The weather will remain mostly sunny, with some passing clouds. In the morning, especially in the plains, localized mist or fog is possible, which will dissipate as the day progresses. Temperatures will rise further, returning to levels typical of the second half of September and, in some locations, approaching 30 degrees.

The beginning of the new week will still have decidedly summery characteristics: Monday 21 September it will indeed be stable and mostly sunny across much of the Peninsula, with some possible afternoon showers limited to the mountains of Calabria and Sicily and temperatures between 26 and 31 degrees. hot it will therefore remain protagonist especially in the Center-South, while in the North the climate will also be mild.

From Tuesday 22 September, However, the arrival of cooler currents from the east and northeast will cause temperatures to drop, especially in the Po Valley and along the Adriatic coast, where highs could hover between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius. The drop will be limited, however: in the western regions and on the Tyrrhenian coast, temperatures will remain higher, with peaks near 30 degrees Celsius, while in the central and southern regions they could still reach 28-32 degrees Celsius. The weather will also remain largely stable and sunny, with some cloud cover and possible isolated phenomena in the mountains.

La cooler phase will be also temporary: between Wednesday and Thursday the weather will remain mostly stable and towards the weekend of September 26-27 the high pressure could strengthen again, favoring a further rise in temperatures.
