Made in Italy shines at Expo 2020 Dubai: fashion in the foreground but not only

The queue of visitors that since the early hours of the opening on October 2020st has been forming in front of the Italy Pavilion of Expo XNUMX in Dubai, the first event of its kind in the history of the United Arab Emirates, clearly demonstrates that Italian excellence hey Made in Italy products always have a charm and an incomparable appeal and, secondly, that Italy - thanks to its businesses but also to the new credibility that the Draghi government has given the country - is fully on the wave of the economy restarting after the pandemic.

In the six months of the Dubai event, the organizers of the Italian Pavilion expect around 5 million visitors and if a good day starts in the morning, this can be considered a more than reliable estimate. Technology, innovation and beauty, as recalled by the Commissioner for Italian participation, Paolo Glisenti, are the three cornerstones of our participation in the international event, which is one of the first to be present after the pandemic.

Particularly noteworthy are the technological paints used by the Boeri group on the pavilion roof, the Enel lighting system and the new materials used by Mapei. In all, there are about fifty Italian companies involved in the Dubai event with over 20 sponsors.

In the early hours of the Expo, the limelight focused on some innovations from Italian companies including Lavazza's sustainable capsules, Leonardo's tiltrotor and Costa Crociere's Firenze ship, which is the first to stop in Dubai after the pandemic. But at Expo 2020 an absolute leading role will be reserved for the Italian fashion sector especially with the Giorgio Armani show. The Italian designer, who has been present in Dubai for ten years with his Armani Hotel, will attend the fashion show on 26 October.
