Since 2013, Google's email provider (Gmail) has been offering its users in the United States the ability to send or receive electronic currency like any other normal email attachment. A service that, since yesterday, European users also have, starting with those in the United Kingdom.
At the bottom of the write window, near the paper clip icon, the pound symbol has now also appeared. Just click on it to attach the money to be sent. Money which, once received, will be transferred to your account, to then possibly be moved to a connected account, or within Google Play.
For the moment it is not yet known whether the new service is destined to arrive in our country as well, although it seems absolutely probable that, after the English experimentation, the possibility of sending money via email could be extended to all account holders Gmail.
In reality, to receive files with the digital currency attached, it is not even necessary to use the Mountain View e-mail provider, but it is necessary to subscribe to Google Wallet. Transactions are capped at £5 each, rising to £10 for deals concluded within five days.
