Gas bills down for the protected market, -2,1% in July. Arera data

The gas bill still drops. This was communicated by Arera, the Energy, Water and Waste Authority which released the updated bills for protected gas consumers valid for the month of July 2023. In July, the gas bill for an average family under guardianship has recorded a decrease of 2,1% compared to June.

The gas price component to cover procurement costs (CMEMm) for customers still in the protected market was updated based on the monthly average of the Italian wholesale market price (PSV day ahead) and published at the beginning of the following month .

The general charges and the tariff linked to transport and metering expenses remain unchanged.

In July gas price at €31,41/MWh

In July, the price of the material before gas (CMEMm) for customers under the protection regime has been set at € 31,41 / MWh due to a lower average wholesale quotation compared to June.

La gas expense for an average family in the past year (August 2022 – July 2023) it was around 1.484 euros, after taxes, with a 10,7% decrease compared to the same period of the previous year (August 2021 – July 2022).

For the Law Decree n. 79 of 28 June 2023, also for the third quarter of 2023, Arera confirmed the reduction of VAT to 5% and the zeroing of general system costs.
