In this regard, the 56th edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, held at the end of March, highlighted the role of Italian cosmetics as flywheel for export. The 2025 edition focused on topics such as sustainability, product customization, impact of artificial intelligence and new consumer habits.

The most recent estimates indicate an overall growth of 12% in exports in 2025, with a value that exceeded 8,4 billion euros, equal to over 40% of the sector's turnover.
Cosmetics: strong growth of e-commerce
In addition to exports, there is also a strong growth of e-commerce in the beauty sector, which is recording a double-digit increase of +2025% in 13,5. A figure that confirms how digital channels are becoming increasingly strategic for companies, allowing them to reach new markets and intercept global consumers who are increasingly digitalized and attentive to innovation.
