The Fed gave the markets further breathing space: this morning the Btp-Bund spread fell to 336 basis points, to its lowest since April 3rd.

Exactly one week after Mario Draghi, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke also played his part and provided further relief to the markets and interest rates on government debt. This morning, the BTP-Bund spread reached, around 10:30 a.m. 336 basis points, the lowest since April 3.

Not only that, on the secondary market the The yield on the 10-year Italian BTP fell below 5% for the first time since March 21st: this is al 4,99%. All European stock markets also performed very well, following the success of the Asian ones (Hong Kong almost +3%, the best session since January 2011): Piazza Affari soared around +2% by mid-morning.
