Il Louvre and Uniqlo they invited contemporary artists and designers to reinterpret the museum's collections on a range of t-shirts. This year the collaboration takes on new life with the creations of visual artist Camille Henrot. A collection featuring unique rearrangements of Louvre masterpieces, it celebrates a multi-format practice, fusing painting, collage and sewing.

Limited edition pieces available in Uniqlo stores

Born in 1978 in Paris, Camille Henrot is recognized today as one of the most influential voices in contemporary art. Over the past twenty years, she has developed a practice that encompasses drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and film. Inspired by literature, flea markets, poetry, cartoons, social media, wellness and the banality of everyday life, Camille Henrot's work captures the complexity of life in an increasingly connected and overstimulated world. In 2013, her film Grosse Fatigue , realized with the funding of the Smithsonian Institute, won the Silver Lion at the 55th Venice Biennale. In 2017, Camille Henrot had carte blanche at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, where she presented the major exhibition “Days Are Dogs”. She is the winner of the Nam June Paik Prize in 2014 and the Edvard Munch Prize in 2015, and has participated in the Biennales of Lyon, Berlin, Sydney and Liverpool, among others. A major exhibition is coming up at Hauser & Wirth in January 2025. Camille Henrot lives and works in New York. Passionate about “encyclopedic” museums, with countless works, Camille Henrot has carefully chosen her favorite works from the Louvre to realize her creations on Uniqlo t-shirts, through digital and analog collages and graphic interventions. As an extension of this collaboration, Camille Henrot will also produce a chalcography for the Louvre Museum.

The partnership between Uniqlo and the Louvre Museum, launched in January 2021, helps bring art into everyday life. It offers a series of collaborative collections of UT t-shirts and Uniqlo's support for some activities aimed at the general public organized within the museum itself.
