A new project is born in the field of oenology and solidarity: “Adopt a vineyard with AIS Veneto“. This initiative byItalian Sommelier Association of Veneto combines care of the land and training with a goal of social inclusion. In the evocative setting of the Casa di Anna social farm, a muscaris vineyard, Piwi variety, will be planted and managed by vulnerable people. But this vineyard will not just be a place of cultivation: it will become a real outdoor classroom for sommeliers.
Ais members who join the project will be able to closely follow the life cycle of the vine through webcams in the vineyard, thus expanding their knowledge. Furthermore, they will have access to annual tastings of wines and typical products at Casa di Anna.
But the real gratification will come when the fruit of the work gives its results. From the fourth year onwards, donors will receive magnum of solidarity wine vinified by Daniele Piccinin of the Le Carline company in Pramaggiore (Venice), a tangible result of their generosity and passion for wine.

Gianpaolo Breda, president of Ais Veneto, underlined the importance of this project: “With 'Adopt a vineyard' we confirm the desire of our association to be the protagonist of solidarity initiatives in Veneto and to be even more aware of how important training is also out of the classroom, on the field. The students and AIS members will have the opportunity to closely observe the entire path that leads from cuttings to the glass, managing to grasp even more deeply the intertwining of grapes, territory and man's work that lies in a wine”.
Piero Pellegrini, founder of Casa di Anna, added: “We are honored to be able to welcome this project into our reality which marries both our social and food and wine vocation. Being able to add an 'inclusive' vineyard to the offer of activities for disadvantaged people was not a dream within a dream: from today even AIS members with disabilities (and not only) thanks to this vineyard will be able to participate in activities and training in the field, including the possibility of exercising olfactory skills and knowledge, thanks to the large vegetable garden which is home to over 100 different aromatic plants".
“Adopt a vineyard with AIS Veneto” is open to all AIS members, who with an annual donation of 100 euros can become part of this winemaking adventure.
Casa di Anna: a tavern of solidarity and work
Immersed in the countryside near Mestre, Anna's house was born from the desire to offer Anna, daughter of the Pellegrini family, a peaceful and inclusive place to live. But she soon transformed into so much more.
Today, Casa di Anna is one social and educational farm, where people with disabilities work in contact with nature, producing high-quality fruit, vegetables and organic products. In addition to agricultural production, Casa di Anna is a sort of "solidarity tavern", where cultural, food and wine and educational events are organised.
Therefore it is not just a farm, but a training and social inclusion centre, where everyone, regardless of their abilities, can feel part of something special. And the muscaris vineyard, which is part of the "Adopt a vineyard with Ais Veneto" project, thus becomes a new chapter in this story of passion, commitment and solidarity.
