Gym, pilates and running sessions, but also mindfullness, the new anti-stress meditation. As part of its corporate welfare initiatives, Generali Italia has launched a new multidisciplinary wellness programme, My Energy Journey, with the aim of promoting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle in the company.
After an initial phase that involved 250 people, assisted by the Olympic athletes of the Italian national team Roberto Cammarelle and Carlo Molfetta, the program is now in full swing: it will be extended to 1.500 employees by 2017, to progressively involve all the people of Generali Country Italia.
"For Generali Italia, the health and well-being of employees are one of the fundamental pillars for improving the lifestyle of all people in the company - said Giovanni Luca Perin, Director of Human Resources and Organization of Generali Italia - My Energy Journey completes the wide range of initiatives in the Health and Wellness area that Generali Italia plans and offers to involve all its people so that they can constantly have personal and professional performances up to every challenge”.
In detail, the My Energy Journey project provides for a cycle of periodic specialist visits (from the nutritionist to the dermatologist, via the physiatrist); a fortnightly sports program consisting of mindfullness meetings (yoga, breathing techniques, pilates); running and power functional sessions in collaboration with the Med Ex Sports Team – Medical partner of Scuderia Ferrari. Alongside actual physical activity, there are also quarterly seminars and weekly web pills to learn directly from professionals, coming from the academic medical world, how to adopt a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
