Renew water and sewer networks without digging. This is the direction in which Aquanexa, now controlled by Acea through a.Quantum, strengthens its presence in trenchless technologies with the acquisition di Danphix ed Ecoris and the birth of the new Trenchless Technologies Business Unit, which also brings together Dynamics Project, already part of the Group. The three companies generated a combined turnover of over 20 million euros in 2025.
The acquisition of 100% of Danphix was finalized on July 29, 2026, while the entry of Ecoris was completed on August 5. The operation is part of the challenge of renewing Italian water infrastructure, characterized by obsolete networks and average losses between 36% and 42%, at a time when water managers Integrated Water Service They have planned over 21,2 billion euros of investments for 2024-2029.
Danphix, Ecoris, and Dinamica Project: the skills of the new division
Founded in 2016 in Reggio Emilia, Danphix specializes in the trenchless rehabilitation of water, sewer and pressure pipes with Cipp technologies (Cured-In-Place Pipe) and Primus Line, as well as video inspections and pressure testing. It works for public and private clients in Italy and abroad, including in the Oil & Gas sector, and employs approximately 14 professionals. In 2025, it recorded revenues of approximately €13 million and a reported EBITDA of approximately €4,8 million.
Ecoris, founded in 1992 a Viareggio, brings to the Group over thirty years of experience in relining and maintenance of water and sewerage networks, as well as video inspection, pipeline mapping, and non-destructive rehabilitation. With approximately 15 professionals, it generated revenues of €4,8 million in 2025, up 49%, and a reported EBITDA of approximately €2 million.
Completing the division is Dynamic Project, with approximately 40 years of experience, 16 vehicles for relining, video inspection and robotics and the North Sea Project division, dedicated to no-dig technologies for the rehabilitation and non-destructive reconstruction of pipelines.
Relining and No-Dig to renew networks without digging
La new Business Unit aims to strengthen Aquanexa's offering for network renewal by limiting the need for open-pit excavation, which requires demolition, road repairs, and disruption to residents and businesses. According to Aquanexa, compared to traditional techniques, No-Dig technologies also reduce CO₂ emissions, fuel consumption, waste materials, and noise.
Among Industrial main ones there is the reliningIn CIPP, a composite liner made of thermosetting resins is inserted into the existing pipeline and polymerized, creating a new, structurally independent pipe. These technologies allow for work on diameters from DN80 to DN1500, even with sharp bends and difficult access, using thermal, UV, and UV-LED CIPP systems.
Added to these solutions is the patented Talr technology (Trenchless Automated Leakage Repair) by Pipecare for mass leak repairs. The goal is to cover the entire process, from diagnosis to structural rehabilitation and leak repair, with over 100 vehicles deployed locally.
The strengthening in trenchless comes as the water sector struggles to keep pace with investments even beyond the PnrrAquanexa currently has 14 companies, approximately 350 professionals, and a turnover of over €140 million. It aims to further develop its activities in the no-dig renewal of networks, in the industrial sector, and on foreign markets.
Arnold Cekodhima to lead the Business Unit
The new Business Unit will be led by Arnold Cekodhima, founder of Danphix, with the task of integrating the resources, patents and skills of the three companies and expanding Aquanexa's offering in the no-dig renewal.

For Cekodhima, the integration allows the three companies to pool their "resources, patents, and experience" and offer managers the ability to intervene, from pipeline diagnosis to rehabilitation and leak repair. Emil Lako, founder of Ecoris, instead highlights the possibility of applying the skills acquired over thirty years to larger and more complex projects.
