From today in Naples, the Uber and McDonald's app is launched to order meals at home from over 50 restaurants within a radius of 2,5 kilometers - The company that manages the service is already thinking about listing on the Stock Exchange

Starting from Wednesday 30 May it will come to life on the Neapolitan streets Uber eats, the app that will allow you to order at home from more than 50 Neapolitan restaurants.

It is the result of a partnership between Uber e McDonald’s, which will allow the San Francisco giant to remain active in an ever-increasing number of cities. The service born in 2014 in Los Angeles is already active in Milan and Monza, and after reaching Naples, it will also arrive in other Italian cities by the end of the year.

In 2019 it is expected to be listed on the Stock Exchange for a value of about 50 billion dollars, while the global value of food delivery amounts to 83 billion

Furthermore, following the incident of a Just Eat delivery man and the consequent strike by the employees, the managing director Dara Khosrowshahi declared that from June 1st there will be a free insurance coverage for over 150 European drivers and delivery men, including Italians.

The service will be available at lunchtime and dinnertime within a radius of 2,5 km compared to the areas of the various McDonald's that have activated the service: vomero, town hall, fuorigrotta, piazza garibaldi, umberto gallery.

However, the app will be available for a varied range of Italian and international restaurants, ice cream parlors and pastry shops. In particular: Poppella, Capatoast, Pasta rounds, 50 sandwich. To order, just download the app available for both Android and iOS, or connect to the site.
