Intesa Sanpaolo drags Piazza Affari downwards. After a morning dedicated to parity, the Milanese price list suddenly turns negative after the publication of the accounts of the Intesa Sanpaolo bank, which, while improving expectations both for the quarter and for the first nine months of 2015, leads the stock to lose up to 4% (-3,7% just before 14 pm, at € 3,062 per share). The sudden weakness of Intesa and other banking stocks led the Ftse Mib to lose around 1% at the beginning of the afternoon.
London, on the other hand, remains slightly moved (-0,05%), while Frankfurt scores -0,49% and Paris -0,3%. Among the Milanese blue chips, sales also affected Bper (-2,35%), Ubi Banca (-2,2%), UniCredit (-1,5%), Banco Popolare (-1,5%) and Mps (- 1,2%). On the other hand, Saipem (+2,9%) did well, returning to growth thanks to the estimates on the savings deriving from the debt refinancing plan. Yoox-Net-A-Porter also did well (+1,5%) thanks to analysts' opinions. In the rest of the list, Bim lost 5,5% after the announcement of exclusive negotiations between Veneto Banca and BSI for the sale of the institute. On the foreign exchange market, the euro is worth 1,0974 dollars (1,1014 at yesterday's close) and 132,64 yen (133,02), while the dollar/yen ratio is 120,86 (120,77). Finally, the price of oil gains ground: the December future on the WTI marks +0,8% at 46,51 dollars a barrel.
