Italian Exhibition Group has signed an agreement with industry associations: Asstra and An.bti, in view of "Ibe Intermobility and Bus Expo" - the biennial appointment dedicated to collective transport of people who look to the sustainable mobility of the future – which will be held in Rimini next autumn (from 12 to 14 October 2022), organized simultaneously with Ttg Travel Experience, the tourism marketplace in Italy.
The two protocols are part of the new strategy of "Ibe Intermobility and Bus Expo” which marks its transition from a “product fair” to a “platform of integrated technological solutions and a meeting and debate place to interpret and decode the signals coming from the markets, which are decisive for the choices of the new value chains in the sector”. Sustainability also becomes a central point in collective public transport, ready in the coming years to become even greener thanks to the resources of the PNRR.
In detail, the three-year agreement with Asstra, in continuity with the previous editions, provides for extensive collaboration, including support to the Ibe Technical-Scientific Committee in identifying the key themes of the sector. Furthermore, the Transport Association will continue to support events dedicated to training and professional updating (Key Energy ed ecomondo) and will have an institutional exhibition area becoming a meeting place for members. Finally, the association will have at its disposal a further area dedicated to start-ups in order to encourage innovation in the local public transport sector.
The protocol signed with An.bti is focused on the specific issues of tourism and sustainable mobility in view of the appointment in Rimini where the needs and expectations of operators in a sector that has interesting growth margins in the current recovery phase will be explored post-Covid. In particular, the agreement with the Italian Exhibition Group provides for an exclusivity agreement valid until 2024 to raise awareness among the more than 200 members of the key issues for the reference market. In addition, the Italian tourist bus association will support the Ibe technical-scientific committee in defining relevant issues for the future of the sector. And on the occasion of the appointment in Rimini the “Tourist Bus Manifesto” will be presented and IBE will be the stage for the national assembly of the Association.
