A window on the excellence of the great wines of southern Italy: "Radici del Sud" returns, the important event dedicated to the protection and promotion of wines, territories and the stories that surround the wines of Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily.

The international spotlight will turn on the wine production of the southern regions in Sannicandro di Bari from 5 to 10 June 2024, highlighting its quality and value through the competition dedicated to native wines, wine tours, B2B meetings and tastings and, at the same time time, dedicating important moments of cultural study on current issues related to the protection of vineyards, production techniques, promotion and food and wine tourism.

Many confirmations but also many new features for the nineteenth edition of the event, which also in 2024 will allow producers from Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily to present their productions and tell their stories and the connection with the territory to the press and international importers, as well as to the public of sector insiders and enthusiasts who will participate in the Show of Southern Italian wines and oils on Monday 10 June.

For six days Radici del Sud will host Italian and international journalists, bloggers and importers from England, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, India, Vietnam, South Korea, Canada, Australia and Brazil, who will have the opportunity in the first days to visit the territories of Southern Italy to discover the vineyards and cellars of the companies registered for the event, while from 8 to 9 June they will make up the jury of the competition dedicated to the native wines of Southern Italy and will dedicate themselves to B2B meetings with the producers. They will be joined in the meetings by a delegation of wine merchants from the Vinarius and Aepi circuits. On the same two days, accredited professionals, journalists and wine and oil enthusiasts will be able to access an area reserved for tasting the wines in the competition and the oils present at the event, to discover their characteristics and differences.

The final day will open with the conference open to the public where the best labels selected during the 19th Radici del Sud competition will be awarded and which will be an opportunity to debate some important current issues in the sector. In particular, there will be three in-depth moments in which we will talk respectively about new cultivation techniques to protect the vineyards from climatic unpredictability; personalize trade fair events to generate more advantages and usefulness for the producer, the territory and the productions; new tourist routes, new markets, new consumption, to find out who the major consumers of Southern wine are.

The Southern Italian wine and oil exhibition will open its doors to the public on Monday 10 June from 15 pm, when wine and oil enthusiasts and sector operators will be able to access the tasting tables and meet the producers to discover , taste and buy wines and oils. The event will close its doors with the final party, at 00 pm, in the courtyard of the Sannicandro Castle in Bari, where the winning wines of the competition and the oils from the salon will be available for free tasting throughout the evening.
