There are four Italian companies in the Dow Jones sustainability index

Eni, Enel, Snam and Terna are the four Italian companies in the energy sector included this year in the Dow Jones sustainability index - The index measures the environmental impact of companies listed on the Stock Exchange - For Eni it is the sixth consecutive year all inside the index.

They are well four Italian companies in the energy sector have been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index this year, an index that measures the performance, in terms of energy and environmental impact, of companies listed on the Stock Exchange.

The four companies which, thanks to their respect for the environment, have obtained inclusion in the prestigious index are Eni, the only Italian company entered in the Carbon performance leadership index of 2012, Enel, Snam and Terna.

The factors taken into consideration to draw up the sustainability index are corporate governance, environmental management, health and safety in the workplace and the ability to reduce emissions in favor of the community.

For Eni, awarded for "the commitment undertaken in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and for the mitigation of risks related to climate change" and for having shown "well-defined strategies in terms of climate change and reduction of emissions", it is the sixth consecutive year within the index.
