In fourth quarter of 2019, the industry of Italian asset management scored one positive deposits of 17,7 billion euro, accelerating compared to the July-September period (+10 billion). In the year, total deposits in the sector thus amounted to +8,9 billion. The result brings the masses over the threshold of 2.300 billion, at the new all-time high of 2.306 billion (from 2.284 billion at the end of September). The figures were released on Tuesday by Assogestioni.
In detail, between October and December 2019 open funds recorded positive net outflows of 5,1 billion (from +4 billion in the third quarter). Well too closed-end funds (+2,2 billion from +523 million).
The best result, however, was that of portfolio management (+10,3 billion, from +5,5 billion), with the decisive contribution of insurance products (+5,5 billion, from +4 billion).
The net collection of bond funds it was positive by 5,2 billion (from +4,3 billion in the previous quarter), bringing the total for the year to +13,6 billion.
They raise their heads too equity funds, which in the last quarter mark +3,2 billion (after +127 million in the third quarter), thus attenuating the red in 2019 to -2,4 billion.
Stable growth in the fourth quarter also for i balanced funds (+2 billion after +1,8), which close the year with a positive result of 4,8 billion.
On the contrary, the outflows continued flexible, which mark -1,6 billion (after -3,5 billion) and net funding in 2019 is -11,2 billion.
U-turn in the fourth quarter for i funds, with a balance of -3,4 billion, after +1,7 billion in the third, to a total for the year of +1 billion.
Finally, with regard to nationality, the minus sign remains for funds under Italian law with -1,3 billion (after -2,5 billion), to a total of -11,5 billion in the year. Foreign law funds instead they maintained the cruising speed, with +6,45 billion, after +6,5 billion, to a total for 2019 of +16,1 billion.
