The US economy grew faster in the first quarter than initially anticipated. This is what emerges from the final reading of the data released by the US Department of Commerce, according to which iGDP grew by 1,4%, against 1,2% of the intermediate estimate and 0,7% of the preliminary estimate.
The data is better than analysts forecast, who were expecting an unchanged reading from the interim reading. GDP had risen by 2,1% in the fourth quarter of 2016.
