New scenarios after Berlusconi: Alfano-G.Letta-Maroni or Monti/Amato government?

After the loss of the majority and the possible, if not certain, resignation of Berlusconi, new scenarios open up: 1) a new centre-right government led by Alfano or Gianni Letta with Maroni as vice-president; 2) a government of the president with a broad parliamentary base with Mario Monti or Giuliano Amato; 3) new elections

New scenarios after Berlusconi: Alfano-G.Letta-Maroni or Monti/Amato government?

What will happen after the parliamentary defeat of the majority in the Chamber? The next few hours will tell if the premier will show up at the Quirinale to resign as they are clamoring for his resignation. But, in fact, the total government and the total premiership for the post-Berlusconi era already dominate all the discussions in and outside Parliament.

At the moment the most popular hypotheses are:

1) NEW CENTER-RIGHT GOVERNMENT without Berlusconi led by Angelino ALFANO, who despite not being Milanese or even Nordic, is the candidate suggested by Umberto Bossi, with Roberto MARONI as vice president. An alternative for the presidency could be that of Gianni Letta but a problem remains for the centre-right: to find a majority that it currently does not have.

2) GOVERNMENT OF THE PRESIDENT with a broad parliamentary base presided over by a high figure who enjoys great credit in Italy and abroad and who could be the president Mario MONTI or the former premier Giuliano AMATO.

3) GOVERNMENT OF LARGE AGREEMENTS that it goes from the Pdl to the Pd to face the emergency and make a new electoral law: it is a hypothesis that would make it possible to gather a large parliamentary consensus but which is politically the least likely

4) EARLY ELECTIONS: it is the dream of those who do not want to commit themselves to carrying out economic and electoral reforms immediately and to reduce the effects of the political defeat (centre-right) or capitalize on its effects (the left), but the last word belongs to the Head of State who will do all possible attempts before resigning to early elections in a time of serious economic and financial crisis
