Mondadori Books it is worth between 377 and 470 million euros. This is the outcome of the appraisal requested by the Segrate-based company, which at the end of the year decided to spin off its most profitable branch, number one in the sector with a 26% market share.
The plan is to use Mondadori Libri as an unifying hub for the domestic market, perhaps starting with an alliance with RCS (second in the standings with an 11,7% share), to then perhaps proceed with listing the newco on Piazza Affari.
The turnover including subsidiary and investee publishing houses is estimated at 431 million for this year, against a gross operating profit of 47 million and an operating result of 46 million.
Today in the middle of the morning, Mondadori's stock on the Stock Exchange gains 1,4%, a 0,836 euro.
