With Draghi "the project would receive a prominent face and the necessary weight, according to the calculations of diplomats" who are pushing for his new descent into the field, writes the newspaper. But there's more, because a double role could even emerge for the former Premier: von der Leyen would also like him as coordinator of US and EU initiatives for infrastructure.
