Stability Law, news on managers of investee companies and current accounts

It's still a race against time on the Stability Law. The latest amendment proposals should be discussed this morning in the Senate Budget Committee, so as to allow them to arrive in the Chamber in the afternoon, where the Government will in all probability ask for a vote of confidence.

Meanwhile, yesterday the Executive was beaten on two amendments (maintenance of buildings owned by the police and electronic cigarettes).

TAX DEDUCTIONS

One of the most thorny issues should be closed in the morning, the one on the Tasi - the component of the new service tax that is paid on indivisible services - with the allocation of a further 400 million which would allow the Municipalities to maintain the current deductions on the first home (50 euros for each dependent child).

TAX WEDGE

The issue relating to the tax wedge has also been clarified: the maximum relief will be worth 225 euros and the benefits will be guaranteed to those who earn up to 32 thousand euros gross per year.

PENSIONS

The revaluation of pensions is saved up to 2 euros gross per month.

MANAGER OF INVESTEE COMPANIES

After two years of red balance sheets, the managers of the companies owned by the Municipalities could be expelled "for just cause".

FREE TRANSFER OF CURRENT ACCOUNTS

On the banking front, there is the possibility of transferring one's current account to another credit institution free of charge: if the originating bank does not carry out the transfer of the account and any active balance within 14 days, it will have to compensate the customer.

FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES ABROAD

The tax on the value of financial assets held abroad by Italians has risen from 1,5% to 2% since 2014.

CIGARETTES

The tax increase on smoking has been postponed from 2014 to 2015.
