2016 Stability Law, the journey to Parliament begins

The 2016 Stability Law lands today in the Senate. The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, yesterday signed the scheme approved by the Government and deposited at Palazzo Madama on Sunday 25 October.

The document will be sent for a preliminary opinion to the Budget commission, which will meet tomorrow morning. In the same hours, the group leader of Palazzo Madama will also take place to define the calendar for the examination of the provision in the Senate.

To know the decisions, it will be necessary to wait for the official communication to the Chamber, which meets tomorrow at 16 pm. The president of the Senate, Pietro Grasso, will communicate the calendar of the works.

It will be above all at Palazzo Madama that the main tug-of-war on the maneuver will presumably still take place, also considering the smaller numbers on which the majority can count and the stomach aches of a part of the Democratic Party, opposed to steps such as the universal cancellation of taxation on the first house, considered a gift to the richest.
