Allegri and Inzaghi in the storm – The 250 million budget red pushes Juve to avoid the sacking for now, while Inter fans dispute the Chinese ownership

Juve and Inter, defeats make the benches wobble: Allegri and Inzaghi stay until the World Cup, and then what?

Black and white alarm. The word crisis hovers on Juventus e Inter like an evil specter, to be chased away immediately so as not to be completely engulfed. So far, the journey of the two big names, accredited by many as favorites for the Scudetto in the summer, has been very disappointing, both in the league and in the Champions League: the logical consequence is that the two coaches ended up in the dock, in a process that sees them already condemned by a large part of critics and fans. Allegri e Inzaghi, for now, they earn the trust of their respective clubs, even if more for economic-contractual than technical issues: the proof of this is that both have the World Cup deadline to get up and win again, otherwise they will find themselves for a walk.

Juve crisis: the record negative balance (-254 million) saves Allegri, at least for now...

The deepest crisis concerns the Juventus, if only because still a zero points in the Champions League, as well as further back in the Serie A standings. The numbers do not lie and tell us of a Lady capable of winning only two games in the season (out of nine), however without shining, in the face of four draws and three defeats. The latest with Benfica e Monza have certified the state of alert, in the light of two puzzling performances, regardless of the strength of the opponent.

At Brianteo, against the last in the standings, we expected a vigorous performance at least from the point of view of character; instead, the bianconeri have practically never managed to be dangerous, ending up collecting a truly sensational, as well as humiliating, knockout. The hashtag #Allegriout however, it had already been depopulated for several weeks and it was the Juventus fans who fueled it, evidently fed up with its management.

Max, prophet of the “achievementism” par excellence, he is missing out on his strong point, i.e. victories and this means that he has very few arguments left in defense. In fact, gaming was never his first thought, as was the creation of a long-term project and the enhancement of young people. Arguments that Nedved had already put on the plate in 2019, convincing Agnelli to change despite 5 Scudetti, 4 Italian Cups and 2 Italian Super Cups, as well as two Champions League finals (lost).

In 2021 however, thanks to the failures of the Sarri and Pirlo projects (which however won the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and Super Cup), the president imposed the return of his protégé and no one dared to oppose: now, however, the "hawks" are making themselves heard again and the feeling is that Allegri's best ally is his pharaonic contract from 7 million a year (plus bonuses) until 2025, as candidly admitted by Arrivabene himself.

However, things could change if the team fails to reverse course as soon as possible: premature elimination from the Champions League and, above all, the failure to qualify for the next one would be much more expensive than his exemption, all in a difficult historical moment, as can be seen from the budget approved on Friday which saw a liability of no less than 254 million: a figure that leads not to make head shots, but also to intervene if things don't settle down on their own.

Inter crisis: Inzaghi has until the world championship, meanwhile the curve contests Zhang

Athens weeps, but even in Sparta we certainly don't laugh. L'Inter they are experiencing an equally complicated moment, softened only by the 2 points more in the standings and by a Champions League group reopened thanks to the success of Plzen. After the break, however, there will be a double confrontation with Barcelona and the Nerazzurri fan, still shaken by the poker of defeats with Lazio, Milan, Bayern and Udinese, is already shivering.

Inzaghi he is the first defendant, but unlike Allegri he can count on a part of the supporters, who have identified Chinese property as the real culprit of the crisis. "Zhang get out", as well as on various walls in Milan, is the inscription that stands out on the social pages of the Curva Nord and the malaise, sifting through the web, also extends to the so-called "normal fans". In summary: the ultras are against Zhang, the others divide the blame between him and Inzaghi.

In short, it is not a plebiscite like at Juve, but it is clear that the coach cannot sleep peacefully, despite a contract that has just been renewed for 5,5 million until 2024. Here too, just like in the case of Allegri, this seems to be the real reason for trust, with the difference that an exemption, however expensive, would still be cheaper.

Strange parable that of Inzaghi, who started very strong a year ago, so much so that many say that his Inter was even better than Conte's. But then, after a glittering first round, the first difficulties culminated in the loss of the Scudetto to Milan: a great setback, mitigated only minimally by the victories in the Italian Cup and Super Cup.

But it is in this season that the story took a sharp turn, thanks to a very slow start in which four defeats, as well as a series of errors that have left critics and fans stunned. First of all, the management of exchanges with an almost grotesque obsession with yellow cards, passing through the ostracism towards Goossens (desired by him) to the question Correa, clamored for the modest sum of 31 million and which has become a flop that is difficult to justify, up to the unusual (and potentially harmful) dualism between goalkeepers Handanovic and Onana.

The dossier is also very clear a Marotta who however, as a good managing director, first of all defends the accounts and hopes for a spark that can overturn the scenarios. Here too, however, just like in the Agnelli house, he will have to arrive early: the condemnation of Inter and Juventus, moreover, is that of always being at the top.
