Impregilo, the assembly gives the green light to the merger with Salini

Green light to Impregilo-Salini merger. The meeting of the main Italian general contractor today approved the operation, which will be completed by the end of the year. From 2014 the company will begin to replenish the free float, now just over 10%. Salini already controls 88,83% of Impregilo. 

This morning's meeting also appointed three new directors: Giacomo Marazzi, former director of Beni Stabili, Nicola Greco, formerly of Saipem, and Franco Passacantando, central director of the Bank of Italy who will take up his office in mid-December, once he leaves the place in via Nazionale.

At the beginning of the afternoon, the stock on the Impregilo Stock Exchange gained just under 1%.
