Veronelli guide 2023: the five "best tastes" of Italian wines, the South remains out

The South is excluded from the section "The best tastings" with which the judges of the Veronelli 2023 Guide, after a selection of 16.625 vini for a total of 2.104 producers, evaluate the five wines that, in the respective typology, have achieved the highest rating in cents and which therefore represent by far the best wines tasted by the Curators for this edition of the Guide. And the center manages to place only one Tuscan wine. The five awarded with the laurels are in fact composed as follows: Best Sparkling Wine 2023 is the Trento Brut di Riserva del Fondatore 976 2011 of the Letrari company (Rovereto TN) and Best White Wine is the Dut'Un Venezia Giulia Bianco 2019 of Vie di Romans ( Mariano del Friuli GO). At Sì Costa Toscana Rosato 2021 by Duemani (Riparbella PI) goes the palm of Best Rosato; The Barolo Riserva Falletto Vigna Le Rocche 2016 by Bruno Giacosa (Neive CN) was judged as the best red wine. Finally, the Best Sweet or Meditation Wine is the South Tyrolean Le Petit 2018 produced by Manincor (Caldaro – Kaltern BZ).

In total, the Guide this year awarded the Three Gold Stars 436 wines that represent Italian winemaking excellence from South Tyrol to Sicily award attributed exclusively to wines that have achieved an evaluation of at least 94/100 by the jurors.
