Government, liberalization decree on 19 January

While throughout Italy protests rage against the liberalization decree, the Monti government continues to work on the text of the discord. But those who expected some effective news from this morning's Council of Ministers were disappointed: the professors did not go beyond brainstorming. And yet, if the contents are still authentic the draft of the provision circulated yesterday, from today at least we have a date: next Thursday afternoon, January 19, the CDM will meet again to issue the decree. A government source made it known at the end of the meeting.

On closer inspection it is an almost obligatory choice, to want to respect the January 20 deadline that the Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council, Antonio Catricalà, indicated a few days ago from the armchairs of Porta a Porta. On the 18th, in fact, the premier will have to be in London to meet the British prime minister, Daid Cameron, while on the 20th it will be the turn of the long-awaited trilateral summit together with the French president Nicolas Sarkozy and the German chancellor Angela Merkel.

But today's CDM, which lasted over three hours, did not just talk about liberalisations. The government has also launched some measures of a different nature, such as the waste decree to deal with the most critical situations, like that bell.

The provision “defines some urgent measures to deal with the critical issues of the waste recovery and disposal system – reads the Executive's press release -. The interventions, adopted in accordance with the European environmental protection policy, concern the treatment of waste in Campania, the marketing of biodegradable bags for the removal of goods and the use of carryover materials”.

The appointment of was then approved Salvatore Rossi to deputy general manager of the Bank of Italyapproved by the Higher Council of the Institute.
