Franco Bernabè will lead the Rome Quadrennial

The top manager Franco Bernabè, former number one of Eni and Telecom, will be the new director of the Quadriennale in Rome – He was appointed by the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Dario Franceschini, to facilitate the integration between the Quadriennale, the Vittoriano complex and the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, of which Bernabè is president

The former number one of Eni and Telecom Italia, Franco Bernabè, one of the best known top managers in Italy and abroad with a passion for art, has been appointed director of the Rome Quadrennial Foundation by the Minister of Cultural Heritage Dario Franceschini. The minister explained the appointment with the need to promote maximum integration between the Quadriennale, the Vittoriano complex and the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, of which Bernabè is president.

"Making these two formidable institutions, located in the center of Rome, work together through a single programming and, in the future, through a single management, can truly constitute - said the minister - an excellence and an international point of reference in the exhibition and contemporary art sector. Also for this reason - added Franceschini - Macro and Maxxi were involved in the panel of participants of the Quadrennial Foundation in Rome and in this context Bernabè is certainly the most suitable person, in terms of experience and relationships, to pursue such an ambitious project ".

In the past, in addition to his prestigious managerial positions, Bernabè was president of the Venice Biennale.
