Google and taxes: the French chapter of the European controversy closes with a surprising point in favor of the American giant.
The Administrative Court of Paris ruled that Mountain View should not undergo any action. The judges thus rejected the request of the French tax authorities, which wanted to force the search engine group to pay 1,115 billion euros in unpaid taxes.
The reason for the sentence? Google France does not have a "fixed office" in the country and only this, according to the decision of the Court, would have made the payment of taxes and fees compulsory.
