Photovoltaic, F2i buys 56 Mw from CogiPower

The rationalization and development strategy continues for CogiPower, the Tecnis Group company active in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector, of which Carlo Mammola is President, who concluded today a agreement with F2i for the sale of its business in the photovoltaic sector.

F2i will acquire 100% of the photovoltaic assets of CogiPower, distributed in 23 plants and 10 companies and which consist of an installed capacity of 56,6 MWp (50 MWp in Sicily, 4 MWp in Campania and 2,6 MWp in Lazio). The finalization of the transaction is conditional on the closing of the financing to support the acquisition, expected in the next few days.

CogiPower started its activity in the field of renewable energies in 2010. In the last 5 years the company has implemented a significant development strategy and has been the protagonist of a strong acquisition campaign, which has led it to control and manage a photovoltaic park among the largest in Italy. Thanks to this transaction, CogiPower will now be able to concentrate on the energy efficiency sector, pooling the knowledge developed in recent years as an energy manager with the know-how and capabilities of Tecnis, active in the infrastructure sector with annual turnover of more than 350 million euros.

"I am very satisfied with the signing of the agreement with F2i, which allows us to expand our offer towards activities that are increasingly central to the growth and development of the country". This is the comment of Mimmo Costanzo, CEO of CogiPower. “The knowledge and expertise acquired in the field of renewable energies by our Group – continued Costanzo – will allow us to maintain and develop our core business through new entrepreneurial ideas, particularly in the energy and environmental efficiency sector. I am convinced that our experience, in addition to the important investments we are making to equip the Group with a series of technological and management innovation tools, will allow us to quickly reach a leadership position".
